Snow cones ... Israeli music ... Chinese and Indian food ... Israeli
art, singing children, and a 20-foot tall inflatable Noah's Ark
(complete with a pink elephant ). These are just a few of the
sights, sounds and smells of a wonderful sun-filled, fun-filled day
on the lower lawn at Herzl-Ner Tamid. On September 18, more than 750
congregants and friends took part in Festivál, the "official" launch
of our centennial year celebrations.
The Street Fair had something for everyone: balloons, ring toss, a
street magician, and lots of food - from falafel to Krispy Kreme
donuts - and, of course, lattes! There was also a splendid array of
crafts, such as hand-painted talasim, Yemenite silver jewelry and
hand-crocheted kipote.
Thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make this
wonderful event possible. and to our founders who had the vision to
build for the future.
