MAGAZINE DRIVE AT HNT

Harborview Medical Center is in need of magazines less than 6 months old to help patients and families pass the time. Magazines are especially needed in the ICU waiting rooms where families often spend whole days and nights for weeks at a time. A box will be available in the Upper Foyer.

NW Jewish Singles 40+

NW Jewish Singles 40+ is a new social group in the Puget Sound area comprised of members of area synagogues, members of Lox of Friends, and unaffiliated Jews. Our goal is to bring together single Jews age 40+ to enjoy a wide variety of activities, make new friends, and stay in touch with old ones. Click here to view the group's newsletter of events or simply e-mail Shelly Goldman at shellygoldman@a.templebnaitorah.org.  You can also leave a message for Shelly at 425-603-9677.

POLACK ADULT DAY CENTER: For the Young at Heart

Twenty-five years ago, THE POLACK ADULT DAY CENTER opened its doors to the senior Jewish community in the greater Seattle area. Housed at the Caroline Kline Galland Home, the Day Center offers an opportunity for Jewish senior living at home or in retirement settings to meet, develop friendships and share common experiences.

While visiting on any Monday through Thursday, participants can join in a variety of programs including language groups, current events, poker, knitting, movement groups, music entertainment, exercises, Bingo, and discussion groups with guest rabbis. The participants also enjoy a nutritional kosher lunch from the Kline Galland kitchen.

The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Caring friendships are formed and a family-like atmosphere develops.

Transportation is provided to participants who live in north, central and south Seattle. Limited transportation is also available from the Eastside. For more information about the program, please call Joanne Angel at (206) 725-8800

Come join our family!
