BOOKS FOR KIRYAT MALACHI
As
the seasons change, we are continuing to collect children's
books in English for the 22 schools and libraries in
Kiryat
Malachi, Israel, and the Hof Ashkelon region. We are helping
teachers, librarians and social workers teach reading, writng
and spoken English to more than 8,000 young immigrants from
Ethiopian, Russian, and other countries. Below is a list of
books and related toy items which are very badly needed. Please
deposit in the collection box in the HNT lobby, or if you
wish, call Norm Chapman at 425-649-8553 for collection at your
home. We are servicing 12 elementary schools, 4 high schools, 4
libraries and a science center for older students. In addition
we provide books for a social work after-school program for
special needs children and older teen age girls who need extra
assistance dealing with their new lives. The elementary school
list has the highest priority. Thanks for assisting us in this
worthwhile mitzvah.
